Larger than Life – Call for Artists

The ACCC is proud to be presenting the Larger Than Life Exhibition! This exhibition is presented in collaboration with Chaska Valley Family Theatre’s Big Fish the Musical. The exhibition will feature art of any medium that expresses the theme of “larger than life”. Whether your piece tells a story, is inspired by a story, or heightens focus on something that interests you. All media is welcome. Up to 3 entries per person.

If you haven’t signed into your ACCC Membership Account for a while, please go to our Account page for instructions and to request your password. Membership status questions can be sent to membership@artsofcarvercounty.org. If your account is past due, you will not be able to pay the Member Rate Entry Fee until the annual membership fee is paid.

ACCC MEMBER BENEFIT
Any ACCC Member with artwork in our Gift Shop or in an Exhibit who works 6+ hours in the Arts Center in a given month will earn an extra 10% commission on the sale of their work for that month. To indicate you’d like to become a Volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Form on our Volunteer page on our website.

PROMOTION
The show will be promoted through postcards, flyers, social media, ACCC newsletter, and local papers. Exhibiting artists will pick up Exhibit postcards to hand out and help promote the Artists’ Reception and the Exhibit, pick up at Art Drop off. Copy the image of the postcard below and post it on your website and social media.

FEE
Free for members. $25 per piece for non-members.

In addition to contact info, the Registration Form asks Artists to:

List your medium (For example, photography, greeting cards, pottery, wood, jewelry)
Briefly describe your artwork
What is the price range of your items?
Anything else we should know about your artwork for the Exhibit?
Please CHOOSE an Art Drop Off Time window from the list so we can spread out Artists
If you are a NEW ARTIST to ACCC Exhibits, AFTER your work is accepted, go to the How To Submit Art page and submit your actual works.

RETURNING ARTISTS

The ACCC is proud to be presenting our Annual ACCC Members’ Show! The exhibition will feature the very best artwork of any medium, any style or theme, that is made by our very own ACCC Members! We are just so proud of all of the work that our members create and want to showcase it. All media is welcome. Up to 3 entries per person.

The ACCC is proud to be presenting the INSPIRATION exhibition! The exhibition will feature artwork of any medium that showcases objects, people, or things that inspire you. This can be something that inspired you on a daily basis, inspires your artistry, or a work that you hope inspires other people. This theme is open to interpretation and we would love to see what INSPIRATION! means to you.

ACCC Awards Exhibit – Call for Artists

ACCC Awards Exhibit – Call for Artists

For the first time, the ACCC is producing a juried show where we will be presenting awards and cash prizes! Artists are called to submit their favorite pieces that exhibit their style, craft, and personality. We are so proud of our members and want to showcase their “best work”.

We will be presenting the awards on June 23, 2022, in the Chaska Community Center Theatre at 8 PM. In addition to visual arts, we will be hosting a program for live artwork at 7 PM. This will allow musicians, songwriters, poets, authors, dancers, and more to participate in the ACCC Awards Competition.

ACCC Awards Exhibit Prizes:

  • First prize will win $250 and the title of “ACCC Artist of the Year”.
  • Second prize will win $150
  • Third prize will win $100.
  • Additional awards and gift certificates to the ACCC Store will be awarded.

4th Annual Holiday Gift Show – Nov 3 – Dec 29

Please Join Us at the ACCC Gift Shop in the Chaska Community Center (CCC) for the 4th Annual Holiday Gift Show. We look forward to showcasing beautiful works of art made by our talented local MN artists! We have a wide selection of one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted gifts ready for sale for the holidays. We will have a different look this year due to CCC scheduling but we will be having special showcase holiday weekends on Thanksgiving weekend with Small Business Saturday and on the second weekend in December with Santa and Holiday Music Event.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Holiday Show and Artists’ Reception.

We invite the public to attend our Holiday Gift Show Artists’ Reception to meet some of our artist members and speak to them about their work.

Holiday Show Hours

Wed-Fri 11 am-6 pm, Sat 9 am-4 pm,  We are Extending Hours for the Holiday Show on Sundays from 12-4 pm, and adding Mondays and Tuesdays, 11 am – 6 pm, starting November 21st thru December 23rd. We will be open from 9 am to 12 pm on December 24th, Closed on Christmas Day.
We have two special weekends that we will have extended hours for the entire weekend

Calling all ACCC Artist Members! Please Join Us at the ACCC Gift Shop in the Chaska Community Center (CCC) for the 4th Annual Holiday Gift Show. We look forward to showcasing your works of art made by you, our talented local MN artists! We are looking for a wide selection of one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted gifts ready for sale for the holidays. We will have extended holiday show hours on the special event long weekends where we will be open Thursday thru Sunday will longer hours available to the public. Special setups will be required.

PROCESS
Information about eligible works can be found on our Gallery Standard Categories & Guidelines page. Please read before you submit your Entry Fee below. Keep in mind, the best price point is $100 and less, items $100-$200 sell, but not as quickly. Please feel free to contact us via phone or email if you have any questions. The ACCC reserves the right to curate the work upon submission. 30% commission due to the ACCC following the sale of artworks.

GUIDELINES
All work needs to be original and made by the artist.

No mass-produced items, or items made from kits.

Art considered includes paintings, drawings, photography, jewelry, glass, fiber, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, wood, and multi-media.

Two-dimensional work should be framed, ready to hang with wire hangs, or wrapped for display.

Limited wall space for large paintings.
ACCC will provide tablecloths for a uniform visual. Bring display units for your items for visual interest, ACCC will add holiday greens, etc. for festive appeal. We will add display space and furniture to house more items within the store and will spread out on special weekend holiday event dates.

A glass cabinet is provided for some fine jewelry.

If your work is accepted, please have extra work-ready, so we can restock as necessary.

The show will be extensively promoted through postcards, flyers, social media, ACCC newsletter, and local papers, CCC social media, city special event system, and outdoor signage. Exhibiting artists will pick up Holiday Show postcards at art drop off to drop stacks off to local businesses, hand them out to neighbors, friends, and family. Copy the image of the postcard below and post it on your website and social media. Share our FB and Instagram posts, etc…

Membership IS required to be in the show. To Join the ACCC, go to our Membership page, renewals can be done on the Account page on our website. We will notify all NEW Artists via email regarding acceptance to the exhibit by the Notification of Acceptance date listed above. If space provides, we may contact you to submit additional work for the show.

We invite all Artists and Artists at heart to join us for the Member’s Show Exhibit scheduled for September 22 – and extended through December 29.  Come see various works of art such as paintings, sculptures, pottery, jewelry, photography, and more!  We are excited to showcase your fabulous art through the holidays.

The ACCC and its Literary and Music Committee’s initiative is to promote and display short literary works and original music along with visual art in the Members’ Show. Any writer who wishes to display a poem, flash fiction, or another short literary work or music, can submit framed and prepared for hanging on a wall,  under the “Other” category in the Members’ Show guidelines.  Your writing must use at least 16 font sizes.

Each artist should have a featured profile for all to enjoy when visiting the gallery at the Arts Center. Enjoy live music, wine, and light appetizers served throughout the evening. We would love your participation. Invite your friends and neighbors to join in the fun of the evening.

EXHIBIT/ART GALLERY HOURS

Monday – Saturday; During the Chaska Community Center hours, the Gallery will be open even when we are closed in the Gift Shop. Gift Shop Hours are Wednesday-Friday 11-6 and Saturday 9-4, or consistent with available volunteer staff and CCC current COVID protocols at the time.

Call for Artists for Members’ Show Exhibit– Deadline Sept 17

We invite all Artists and Artists at heart to register for the Member’s Show Exhibit scheduled for September 22 – and extended through December 29.  We are looking forward to seeing your paintings, sculptures, pottery, jewelry, photography, and more!  We are excited to showcase your fabulous art through the holidays.

All media is welcome. Up to 5 entries per person.

(Items will carry over in the gallery through the Holiday Show when we bring in even more Art for sale.)

Any work left at the Arts Center 30 days after an exhibit ends becomes the property of the ACCC.

Membership is not required to be in the show. We invite you to join if you are a nonmember to enjoy many benefits and to save on entry fees. To join the ACCC, go to our Membership page, renewals can be done on the Account page on our website.
Members, please SIGN IN to your ACCC Account to Register and pay the Entry Fee online. If you haven’t signed into your ACCC Membership Account for a while, please go to our Account page for instructions and to request your password. Membership status questions can be sent to membership@artsofcarvercounty.org.  If your account is past due, you will not be able to pay the Member Rate Entry Fee until the annual membership fee is paid.
ACCC MEMBER BENEFIT
Any ACCC Member with artwork in our Gift Shop or in an Exhibit who works 6+ hours in the Arts Center in a given month will earn an extra 10% commission on the sale of their work for that month. To indicate you’d like to become a Volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Form on our Volunteer page on our website.

PROMOTION

The show will be promoted through postcards, flyers, social media, ACCC newsletter, and local papers. Exhibiting artists will pick up Exhibit postcards to hand out and help promote the Artists’ Reception and the Exhibit, pick up at Art Drop off. Copy the image of the postcard below and post it on your website and social media.

ACCC Members $25 for the first entry, $5 for each additional entry, up to 5 total

40% Commission to the ACCC for sold works

In addition to contact info, the Registration Form asks Artists to:

  1. List your medium (For example, photography, greeting cards, pottery, wood, jewelry)
  2. Briefly describe your artwork
  3. What is the price range of your items?
  4. Anything else we should know about your artwork for the Exhibit?
  5. Please CHOOSE an Art Drop Off Time window from the list so we can spread out Artists

If you are a NEW ARTIST to ACCC Exhibits, AFTER your work is accepted, go to the How To Submit Art page and submit your actual works.

RETURNING ARTISTS, go right to the How To Submit Art page after you Register/Pay Entry Fee.

Labeled artwork can be brought to the Chaska Community Center on the Art Drop-Off date listed above. Please make sure your item label matches the artwork submitted for the exhibit. Wall artwork must be ready to be hung with wire on the back of your work.
