Call for Artists for Express Yourself in Purple Exhibit Apply by May 26

Call for Artists – Express Yourself in Purple
June 2 – July 3, 2021

We are asking all artists to get into the theme of Purple for the Express Yourself in Purple Exhibit. Whether it is a still life painting or photography depicting grapes and wine to a sculpture painted in purple or representations of a floral garden in purple. A study in Purple….is where we’re at…  We want to see all things Purple and we ask you to create with that in mind. All mediums are welcome, we’re excited to see the Gallery walls decked in the color Purple and all that inspires your reign!

In conjunction with the Exhibit, the ACCC is sponsoring the County wide event, Purple Reigns. We will honor Prince posthumously as our 2021 Honorary Member of the ACCC, we celebrate in his birthday month. As his favorite color was purple… it’s natural to bring everyone together as we paint the County Purple for the month of June.  Purple Reigns is approved by the Prince Estate, Paisley Park.

VOLUNTEER AT ARTS CENTER
We would like each artist to contribute their time by volunteering for two (or more) shifts at the Arts Center during the show to experience first-hand the excitement the Holiday Gift Show brings our guests. You will be volunteering alongside an experienced volunteer, performing tasks like greeting guests, helping package up purchases, monitoring the space.  Last year we experienced a significant increase in guests for this show and it’s nice to have another set of eyes working with you. And if you like it, you can become a regular volunteer at the Center! Center hours are listed above. The Arts Center Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you after artists have been accepted for the Holiday Gift Show and share the available shifts.  Please have your calendars ready when you drop off your artwork so you can sign up for an open shift at that time.

FEE

ACCC Member $15 flat-fee, regardless of number of works (i.e. 1-101 pieces is still the same fee!)
30% Commission to the ACCC for sold works (for this show only).

New this year, the Registration Form asks additional questions and is used in lieu of the initial email with 3 images and descriptions, this helps to streamline the process.

In addition to contact info, the Registration Form asks Artists to:

  1. List your medium (For example, photography, greeting cards, pottery, wood, jewelry)
  2. Briefly describe your artwork
  3. What is the price range of your items?
  4. Anything else we should know about your artwork for the Holiday Gift Show?
  5. Please CHOOSE an Art Drop Off Time 2-hour window from list so we can spread out Artists

If you are a NEW ARTIST to the Holiday Gift Show, you will get an email confirmation saying your work is accepted, AFTER you get that confirmation, go to the How To Submit Art page and submit your actual works.

RETURNING ARTISTS, go right to the How To Submit Art page after you Register/Pay Entry Fee.

Reflections and Abstractions Exhibit

Call for Artists for Reflections and Abstractions Exhibit

Reflections and Abstractions Call For Artists

We invite all artists to enter our upcoming exhibition Reflections and Abstractions. Our search for Reflections is precisely those aspects one focuses on and what is visual at certain points in time which features aspects of light. Like the return of light from a surface, the production of an image by or as if by a mirror or the action of bending or folding back, reflective patterns.  Abstractions borrow certain coordinations from already constructed structures or images and reorganize them in a function of new givens. This can originate from certain color, figure, nature and consistence having been observed to go together, or perceived, and compounding them.

We look forward to seeing many interesting and beautiful works of art.
