VOLUNTEER AT ARTS CENTER
We would like each artist to contribute their time by volunteering for two (or more) shifts at the Arts Center during the show to experience first-hand the excitement the Holiday Gift Show brings our guests. You will be volunteering alongside an experienced volunteer, performing tasks like greeting guests, helping package up purchases, monitoring the space.  Last year we experienced a significant increase in guests for this show and it’s nice to have another set of eyes working with you. And if you like it, you can become a regular volunteer at the Center! Center hours are listed above. The Arts Center Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you after artists have been accepted for the Holiday Gift Show and share the available shifts.  Please have your calendars ready when you drop off your artwork so you can sign up for an open shift at that time.

FEE

ACCC Member $15 flat-fee, regardless of number of works (i.e. 1-101 pieces is still the same fee!)
30% Commission to the ACCC for sold works (for this show only).

New this year, the Registration Form asks additional questions and is used in lieu of the initial email with 3 images and descriptions, this helps to streamline the process.

Call for Artists – ACCC Members’ Show Oct 7-Jan 23

NEW LOCATION – At the Chaska Community Center

Hello Members!

We want to share with you some exciting news, a little breath of fresh air… Our board has been continuing to think about and plan, how we can approach a new normal during this time. One of the things that comes up more than others during these past few months is how we can serve our members and residents in Carver County and do it safely. Through our many discussions in changing our environment and needs due to COVID-19, we are moving our Gallery Exhibits to the Chaska Community Center. This will increase the number of shoppers and visitors to our Center which will be beneficial to Holiday sales. The environment is large and open so we can provide a much safer space for members, shoppers, and guests.

Although we have had significant event cancellations and we were functioning through reduced volunteer hours earlier this year, we are moving forward! We have a great connection and are welcoming the openness that the Chaska Community Center provides. Our desire is to keep consistency for members. We are working to bring more online projects on board as well as some socially distanced activities. We look to reignite our programming through exhibits with social distancing, online and in class/learning opportunities in the works, retail functioning with social distancing and online sales in place, etc. We have an exceptional team of board members and volunteers and we are excited for our new future in the new normal.

We are capable and positive as we react, respond, re-strategize, recover and realize what is needed to stay connected to you, our member audience, and our communities during this time. Many people are ready to re-explore the arts and programming, and we are here for them and for you.

As always, we welcome any questions, comments and/or feedback you might have. Please feel free to contact us at info@artsofcarvercounty.org.

Thank you,

Cynthia Anderson, President ACCC

P.S. If you would like to be an instructor for in person or online classes you can learn more by visiting our How to Submit a Class page.
