WorkinProgress Workshop

Work In Process Workshop

This class has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Something just not working with a piece?
Stuck with how to resolve something in the work?
Want some feedback on your work or ideas?
Need inspiration?
Want to bounce something off other artists?
Just want to talk art?

This workshop is for visual artists of any skill level. Bring in up to 3 pieces you are working on, have completed or are contemplating starting to have the group discuss and critique. This discussion tends to include a deep dive into techniques, processes, design & composition, resources, community, selling art, social media, etc. You do not even have to bring art in; maybe you just want to talk to the other artists and get inspired. You will come away with new ideas and inspiration, new avenues to pursue with your art and a great art community. This is a lot of fun!

Block Printing Class

This class has been cancelled due to the MN “Stay At Home” order during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Students of any skill level will learn to create a design, transfer the design to a specialized silicone block which is made especially for printing, cut the design into the block and print using the block. They will be able to make 5 cards to take home and any number of “art prints” they wish to make using various papers supplied by the instructor. Reflections and Abstractions Call For Artists

We invite all artists to enter our upcoming exhibition Reflections and Abstractions. Our search for Reflections is precisely those aspects one focuses on and what is visual at certain points in time which features aspects of light. Like the return of light from a surface, the production of an image by or as if by a mirror or the action of bending or folding back, reflective patterns.  Abstractions borrow certain coordinations from already constructed structures or images and reorganize them in a function of new givens. This can originate from certain color, figure, nature and consistence having been observed to go together, or perceived, and compounding them.

We look forward to seeing many interesting and beautiful works of art.

I appreciate all of our board members, liaisons and committee members who have faithfully served in the past and will continue to serve the community and lead the ACCC into the future. I have taught several mandala drawing classes from age 10- adult. I love being able to provide a creative opportunity for all people, no experience is necessary. We all have a unique way of bringing beauty through circle drawing into the world. I learn and see incredible drawings in every class by each student.
