Water Exhibit at Sower Gallery

“Water” Highlighted in a New Show at The Sower Gallery

Beginning April 17th and continuing until May 27th.

The show, about “water in all its forms” includes art that celebrates ice, snow, rain, clouds, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, and oceans. Over 22 artists from the local regional area and nationwide are contributing to honoring its beauty and purpose as well as the demise of our Earth’ s most precious resource.

The Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, from 7-9 PM at the gallery, and is free and open to the public. Many artists will attend, and refreshments will be available. The gallery is at Shepherd of the Hill Church, 145 Engler Blvd. Chaska. Gallery hours are 9:30 – 12:30 daily, with some variable late afternoon hours to be announced. Information about the artists, their work, and the gallery’s hours and events during this show can be found on The Sower Gallery Facebook page.

Gallery Director Susan Lince says, “In this ‘land of 10,000 lakes’ it is sometimes easy to take for granted the abundance and the beauty of our water resources. We hope this art will help all of us continue to be mindful of taking care of water, and of what can happen when clean water is polluted, or gone. Both climate change and human activities around the world are altering the supply of clean water for many people and many uses. We hope this show continues to keep us awake to water issues affecting us all. It is Earth’s most precious resource.”
