A Facelift for the Silo
Jonathan Silo Design Contest
The Arts Consortium of Carver County
invites you to submit a new design.
The silo is the entrance to Jonathan.
It sits at the corner of Rt. 41, Chestnut St., and Hundtermark Rd, Chaska, MN 55318.
The Jonathan Association will award the
creator of the winning design with a prize of $1,500
Details:
Ownership—Upon awarding the prize money, the Jonathan Association will own all rights to the design.
Dimensions—The silo is 36 feet high and 46 feet around.
Guidelines—

- Color –earth tones, sky blue – colors found in nature. No neon colors.

- Description—the word Jonathan needs to appear in the design—”in Chaska,” as currently appears, is not required.

- Theme—historic purist like the waving wheat on the silo. It is not mandatory that waving wheat appear in the design, and it need not be the theme. However, long time Jonathan residents may gravitate toward a design that incorporates waving wheat .
Submit—Electronically to Barb Hone, bjhone@gmail.com—or hard copies, no large then 8 X 12, to ACCC at P.O. Box 462, Chaska, MN 55318. Artists may submit 2 entries.
Deadline—Midnight, January, 15, 2016.
Process—Designs will be posted on the Jonathan website. Jonathan residents will be able to view entries and bring input to the annual meeting in early March.
Decision—The Jonathan Association Board will consider all feedback and vote on the winning submission in April.
