Literary Challenge!
Visit the Arts Center & Write
Read your response on October 17
The Literary Committee of the Arts Consortium announces a Literary Challenge for local writers. During the months of September and early October, you are invited to visit the ACCC Arts Center in Victoria to view the visual and literary art in the new ACCC Members’ Show and to write something in response. ACCC will host an open reading of these responses on October 17.
Guidelines: Your work can be a piece of fiction, nonfiction, memoir, or poetry, but should be limited to no more than 2 pages double-spaced for the prose and no more than 2 pages for a poem. Bring this work to read at “Writers Read Art” on October 17 at 7pm in the Arts Center.
Writers Read Art: Each writer will read the one piece he/she wrote as part of the Literary Challenge. There will be a time for socializing with the artists and other writers. The public is invited to attend also.
We hope you will join us in this Literary Challenge and at the event “Writers Read Art”! If you have questions, please contact us at literary@artsofcarvercounty.org.
