Music Steve Kelzer

Music Liaison Steve Kelzer, ACCC CD Producer, Membership

Lifelong Carver County resident, Steve Kelzer has been involved in all aspects of music, from composing original music for theater, commercials and film as well as musical director for theater and performing (keyboards) in numerous groups. Steve is the great-great-grandson of alfalfa pioneer Wendelin Grimm and is the 5th generation to farm Wendelin’s second homestead located in Laketown Township.

Visual Arts Mary Strother

Visual Arts Liaison Mary Strother, Arts Center Exhibit Coordinator, Artists’ EXPO, Membership

Mary Strother received both her Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees at the University of Minnesota in the areas of photography and drawing. She is a retired art professor from Normandale Community College where she taught black and white photography, drawing and art history for 34 years. She also directed their student international education for several years.
Her art work stems from her strong interest in water. She is on the board of the Friends of the Minnesota River and the Carver County Water Management. Her interest in water also means she loves fishing and boats.
Mary has lived in rural Carver County for over 30 years and is active in the community. She is a member of the League of Women Voters of Carver county. She is as an election judge for Dahlgren Township. She volunteered at East Union School years ago when her children attended and continues to do so today. She is also active in a dog rescue organization.
Mary is looking forward to a greater involvement in the art and artists of Carver County.

Literary Susan Coultrap-McQuin

Literary Arts Liaison, Flash Fiction Contest, Poetry Contest, Readings

Susan Coultrap-McQuin is a writer who lives in Victoria, MN. During her academic career she published three books and many articles on topics ranging from women writers and publishers in the nineteenth century to current issues in higher education. Currently she writes book reviews and poetry and has recently received some local recognition for her poems. She participates in two writers’ groups and is a member of the League of Minnesota Poets. She is a strong supporter of the arts and currently serves as secretary of the Arts Consortium of Carver County.

Jody Kunz Clark

Jody Clark

Jody Kunz Clark, owner and president of Studio 810, is committed to art and design, along with making a difference in her community. While studying with Peter Seitz and Esther Malabel at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), her passion for graphic design flourished.
Jody’s mother was a fine artist who influenced Jody and her brother Randy, who also was an MCAD graduate. Jody and her brother were a creative design team for years until his move to Los Angeles.
From concept to completion, her award-winning Studio 810 is a full-service brand developer and graphic design studio. Located in Chaska, with more than 30 years of experience in crafting effective and visually appealing marketing strategies—from logos and print campaigns, to branding, digital marketing and social media.
With an entrepreneur spirit and marketing experience, Jody is always searching for the next opportunity. Getting back to her first love, art, Jody is currently studying with Rick Kochenash. Awakening the artist within, she is combining her graphic experience along with oil painting, looking for her next chapter.

Arts Center Volunteer Coordinator

Barb Kelzer

Barb has over 45 years of customer service & management experience that includes Customer Service Manager, Sales training, ISO Quality & environmental auditing and training, as well as Play Ground safety training and inspection, corporate meeting planning and catering.

Barb is a life long resident of Carver County, has been married to Steve Kelzer (ACCC Music Liaison) for 36 years. They have 4 children and 12 Grandchildren. She retired in 2014 to take care of aging parents. In 2018, needing more to keep her busy, she volunteered to become the Coordinator for the Arts Consortium Gallery volunteers. Barb is President of the Clover Condominium Board of Directors, loves to cook, read, mow lawn and dabbles in Community Theater, writing and watercolor.
